Today we got up early, got ready and in 1 hr all 5 of us were ready to head out the door.
Our morning started out at Donuts and Tacos. We have definitely taken a big liking to the place. The girls were truly thankful we took them out for donuts.

After a nice breakfast we headed to the movie theater to watch The Muppets. The movie was fun and on our way out all we could think of was “mana mana” quite funny ride back home. It was a fun outing, but given that they didn’t sleep enough last night they were a bit tired and cranky. So I left them at home with Papi as I went out to endure pre-thanksgiving day grocery shopping.
I have to say I’m extremely thankful that I arrived, chose a lane to go up through and ta-da there was a parking spot right near the door. Shopping was a little annoying with so many people but not worse than on a weekend day. As it was time to leave I went to checkout thinking ugh the lanes will be packed but there was an empty lane just for me! 45 mins and I got all grocery shopping done for the week yay!
The girls played and then around 5ish we built our gingerbread house. Lots of creativity, and some candy eating of course 😉 that was quite some fun!

We cleaned up and while I made Spaghetti bolognese the girls played dress up. My sauce came out extra yummy today 🙂 just in time My friends Danielle and Bob arrived with bread and dessert! We ate while the girls told us silly jokes and Bob told them jokes, quite the comedians at the table 🙂 it was fun to have friends over, especially around the holidays makes them a heck of a lot “cheerier” (is that a word?) when you don’t have family near by.
Girls got pjs on and were in bed by 9:30 while we watched a movie. But of course they didn’t fall asleep! When movie was over I had to go up and tell them no more talking! Hope they did get to sleep this time or tomorrow I sense some crabbiness…
It was a great family fun kind of day, with beautiful weather what more could any mom ask for?
