Today and everyday really I’m thankful for having my daughter. She gets so many emotions out of me, good ones and bad ones sometimes. But for the most they are good ones.
She keeps me honest, on my toes, smiling and sometimes rolling on the floor laughing.
She is a little version of me in every possible way, I look at her and I see myself at that age, what’s not to love even more (hehehe).
She always wants to be with me, if I still have work when I pick her up from school, she’ll want to do her homework in my office. If we are going to be creative, she’ll sit right by my side as close as possible.
She hugs me and kisses me making me feel loved and wants it right back in return so she can say her favorite phrase: I’m soooo looooveeeed with her silly grin and googly eyes, make me laugh every time.
With such a perfect mother-daughter relationship what else could I ask for one would say… well I have some things in mind, but they have nothing to do with her particularly nor will I need to divulge all the personal history of our life story… those who know me well, probably know what I’m hinting towards anyway…
But what brought me to write and dedicate my thankfulness to her was that today we had a lot of us time, we finished decorating the tree, we made a card for her friend’s birthday tomorrow, we did homework, we talked about some things that worry her about Christmas time without being home and when Papi arrived home we researched science projects, saw some cool videos and now have a list of 10 exciting experiments that we have to decide which would be the best to do for Science Fair at school.
Watching her enthusiasm, smile and eyes get big at some of the videos we watched as she scribbled in her notebook ideas for her project made my night. My baby loves science (which is why she has Mad Science after school), grooming my perfect geek and she’s everything to be proud of 🙂
And with this post concludes my 30 days of reflections on gratitude. It was inspiring and fun! I definitely will continue to count my blessings, thank those around me who are part of this wonderful life and every so often stop to write about them.
