Walk around the streets and take pics, some look like streets of NY, Hollywood, etc, there are cool photo opportunity as well… oh yeah and there’s a Starbucks, you know like for those Starbucks obsessed in your family (see photo)

For example in Island of Adventures you can visit all your superheroes! There are several rides some are 3D like the Amazing adventures of Spiderman, some are more thrill like Dr Doom’s FearFall and the Hulk rollercoaster which was actually under renovations when we were there and supposed to open back up in Summer 2016. There are also quite a few photo ops with superheroes and villains all over that part of the island of adventures.
Island of adventures also has a Dr Seuss Area mainly more for the younger kids, although we went in to the Cat in the Hat story, and the Seuss Trolley Train ride which takes you up above and you can see all of the park from up high. Nice train ride for the views and to calm your feet for a bit! If it’s hot get yourself wet in the Ripsaw Falls – we were wet for hours! Also check cartoon town for your favorite toons! lots of kid activities here as well and meet character opportunities.
There are some shows to see in this area, Seuss storytelling (we skipped this since we haev teens, but kids looked to be amazed), Sinbad (we didn’t do this one either) and The Poseidon Fury which we waited in line forever was not worth it in my opinion!
Island of adventures also features Jurassic Park area, where there is a discovery zone with neat things if you like dinosaurs, great photo ops and one ride we loved: Jurassic Park river adventure where you go on a boat, get wet, and it has a bigger drop than we thought… loved it! but we were soaked again 😉
Also there is Hogsmeade – but I covered that in previous blog post (but it’s so worth it!)
In Universal Studios if you are a fan of The Simpsons, you have to get to Springfield! Take a postcard style pic, have a drink at Moe’s, eat a Krusty Burger, for dessert have a mega big donut (please share it, it’s so big and sweet…), they have Turkey legs!, go on the simpson’s ride that is so much fun, and have a Duff at the pub.
Also here, if you like Minions, you should definitely go on their ride, on your way out, there’s photo opportunity with Gru, minions and a bit of dancing around. While you wait in line you go through Gru’s house, which is cool.
Other fun items in order of what we liked: The Revenge of the Mummy inside rollercoaster Transformers 3D ride (and get to take a pic with Optimus prime or bumble bee), Men In Black in this one you get to shoot at aliens and see who wins from your cart, Terminator (more like movie), Shrek 4D (was disappointing, although you get a chance to rest your feet and cool off!) but the best part was the photo op with the crew, the donkey is super funny! ET Adventure (I liked it just of nostalgia, otherwise a bit boring)
Oh and lets not forget the awesome firework shows at dusk, can’t miss that! Although on the last night we were so tire we watched them from our room at the Hard Rock Hotel!
Also as you come out of the theme parks you can check out Universal City Walk, which has a lot of stores and places to eat. We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp (delicious), Red oven pizza (delicious pizza), and the ultimate favorite was CowFish (delicious sushi and burgers, I know weird combo, but was the BEST!!!)
After 3.5 full days, we saw it all, went on everything we wanted and we were exhausted!! The next adventure awaiting… Atlanta!
