Today I took my kiddo to the dentist for the 1st time. And we went to Avery Ranch Dental.
Their website was very friendly, their equipment is all modern and new, they are all women and aside from being conveniently located it gave me a good vibe. So we arrived a little early assuming I would have to fill out some new patient paperwork and as you walk in the place is really nice, it’s clean, the staff is extremely friendly and the decor is upbeat, and makes you feel like at home.
My daughter was a bit nervous about going as what she has seen on TV and the experiences of her friends and their cavities and all that didn’t sound fun. It was extremely important that her 1st experience was a great one to avoid any future trouble and they lived up to expectation!
Everyone around was very friendly but in particular we worked with Cathy, she explained really well what she was going to do, so lil c knew what was happening, she made it seem fun and cool so she wasn’t scared. She took the time to show her the x-rays of her teeth, which was of course fun to her (and to me!).
They put her in her seat, put cartoons, gave her a headset, very entertaining of course. I talked to our assigned dentist Dr Lowrance, she was extremely friendly, made lil c feel comfy by complementing on her outfit, her nail polish, asked her about summer and school. It all takes the jitters away and makes the child establish a great rapport with their doctor, which I think is great!

Everything went fine, no cavities! they make it lively and fun. Definitely recommend this place to all my Austin friends, especially the ones that live nearby. The experience was so great that even lil c was excited to go back in 6 months for routine cleaning.
110% satisfaction here!

I am NOT a fan of dentists, even the distraction of a tv set doesn’t put me at ease but a dentistry that can calm a child’s nervousness? that’s impressive 🙂 great job on no cavities! 🙂
