Today was an awesome day! Sooo many things to be thankful for…

Starting out with waking up around 8am and all getting ready quickly to go eat tacos and donuts at my newly discovered favorite breakfast place “Donuts & Tacos”. Yummy good way to start the day.

To later run back home to get all the Christmas things out of the attic. Listen to lovely Christmas music (thank you Spotify). Put up 2 out of the 3 trees! Lil c’s is fully decorated but the rest have to wait for next week when it will be ok to transform the rest of the house into Christmas and the outside too! 🙂

Carolina and I made a handmade card with paint and markers for one of her school bffs. Came out pretty good if I must say so myself! It was fun to do decorate it together, then we got sleeping bag, pjs, flashlights, slippers, you know all the essentials for slumber party fun and I dropped her off at her friend’s house. They were all so excited! Can’t wait to pick her up tomorrow and find out what they did, what time did they finally fall asleep, and all that! Girl slumber parties are sooooo much fun!

And oh yeah that brings me to the last thankfulness of the day, since lil c was at her slumber party we headed downtown for a nice meal for 2 at Fogo de Chao, mmm so yummy. We had a great dinner with a bottle of Marques de Caceres  🙂

Not sure what happened to those woooohooo parentless days of non-stop fun. When we were done with dinner, we walked around downtown for a bit, perfect weather and it helps to not feel so stuffed, but instead of going to have some drinks we decided to come back home, get into jammies and well continue date at home, there something about snuggling up at home on the couch in your pjs, picking your own music, having your own drinks and watching a movie, beats any bar hoping, feet hurting from heels night any day 😉 Am I just getting old? I did find my 1st silver hair (not gray, this is silver) today…

Anyway thankful for an amazing Saturday with the family, with the Christmas mood on and a lovely date night 🙂 Time to get back to that snuggling watching movie portion! Good night!
