If there is one thing I love about Texas in late March through April is the landscape.
You drive around the highway and on the slopes you can see little yellow flowers everywhere, in some slopes you’ll find red flowers and then my favorite the blue slopes filled with the Texas State flower, the Bluebonnet.
It was decided on a beautiful sunny morning that after brunch we had to go out and search for a picture perfect place near by… and we chose Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, TX.
On the car ride Carolina and Mocha let the breeze in, Mocha was excited as I assume he thought we were going to go running and/or swimming in the lake… Little did he know he was going to be posing for some fun pics.
When we arrived we searched for the perfect spot, it didn’t take long to find the field was full of bluebonnets on one side and in the distance you could see a field of red. The rest of the story can be told in pictures…

It is my first spring in Texas and I totally love this season and the wildflowers here! 🙂

Yes, it’s beautiful! Although it always seems short lived as before you know it summer hits us. Are you ready for the heat?
