Mount Bonnell is just one of those unique places that just reinforce the “Why Austin” points of view.

There are 2 ways to go up: All the way up the flight of stairs, or the back way trail. I highly recommend you go up the trail because there are several stopping places to take great pictures and to take in the beauty of the landscape, and why not say it, take a peak in to the marvelous backyards of the rich and famous of Austin 😉

Once you arrive to the top there is a an area to take more pictures, you can look at both sides of the lake from here. It’s quite a nice view.

Before you decide to head down the stairs head straight, there are some picnic tables and through the 1st one you will see an amazing view of downtown Austin.

And this is one of my favorite places that time and time again I come up to show all of our out of town visitors 🙂
